We are asking any high school speech/debate competitor to help our middle school students at their state championships on Friday, May 19th at Long Valley Middle School. Please consider volunteering. We’re offering Declamation, Oratory, Prose & Poetry Interpretation, Congress, and Public Forum Debate. We can also use help in running the event as well (award setup, topics, etc.). All students in grades 9-12 are welcome!! We will be happy to sign off on any community service hours and dinner will be provided. The Clear Mask has graciously donated clear masks for our students to use in competition! If your school/team is in need of clear masks, you can visit their website or download information here. If your budget does not allow for masks at this time, and you have students participating in speech events at Phillipsburg or Randolph, please email dyastremski@bernardsboe.com to inquire about the donated masks. The National High School Heart of the Arts Award is now in its seventh year and was created by the NFHS to recognize those individuals who exemplify the ideals of the positive heart of the arts and represent the core mission of education-based activities.
